Our Journey Continues…

1John 3:17-18
But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?  Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

We want to share with you what the Lord has put on Brett’s heart……

God has been opening doors to something that has been put on my heart, a Ministry to help Widows, the Elderly, Special needs and the Poor.  So we have been praying and seeking Godly council concerning this. This Ministry was put on my heart even before I became a full time Missionary with Time to Revive.  We would like to take what we have learned through Time to Revive,  offering prayer, praying with them and sharing the Gospel with them, and add meeting home repair needs, financial needs, discipleship and even meals.  There are many people in our area that have these needs.  We both would love to serve in this way.God is calling us to start this new Ministry.

I have no doubt that God did call me (us) to Time to Revive back in March of 2015.  I have always felt like God called me to this Ministry to be trained for something.  I never knew how long it would be or what I was being trained for but as I look back I can see that God has trained, stretched and molded Monica and I for the next journey that is before us.  God instilled a gift in me of passion and a knowledge of building when I was a teenager, and it was my life.  He has now instilled in me the passion of evangelism and a love for people (which I did not have before).  He is taking everything he has given me and using it all for the Glory of Christ.  This is exciting for both of us.  Looking back on my life I now see that when God called me to Time to Revive he took away my love and desire for building.  It was strange.  Now it has come back, even stronger, but in a different way, now the desire is to do it for the Lord.

We have learned so much from serving with Time to Revive.  God has shown us so much and He surely got us both out of our boxes!!  We learned how to approach a total stranger, offer prayer & pray with people , share the Gospel, and helped people get discipled.  We also learned all of the behind the scenes work that goes into matching people up for discipleship if they wanted it. We also learned how to make menus & serve food to hundreds of people.  We have spent time with the homeless, prayed with them, cried with them, shared the Gospel with them & fed them.  We saw churches come together to help the elderly with yard work, trash removal & winterizing their home for the winter.  We have witnessed people give their lives to Christ, and saw some people reject Him. Total strangers have housed us and blessed us beyond belief.  This just touches on some of the things that we experienced.  We had so much support and gifts given to us and we are forever grateful.  It has not always been an easy road, but a very rewarding one.

God has trained us and now we are ready to use it to share with people in need in our area through this new Ministry.

We will keep you updated during the setup of the Ministry.

Isaiah 58:10
If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.
